0709 GMT - Travis Perkins's appointment of Gavin Slark, a well respected executive in the sector, removes uncertainty, RBC Capital Markets analyst Andrew Brooke says in a note. Slark is a proven operator in building materials in the U.K. and is well regarded given the value he created during 11 years at Grafton, the analyst says. "We think he is well placed to continue the work TPK has started to refocus and change the way it operates in order to better serve customers and work effectively with suppliers, as well as engage and motivate teams," the analyst adds. Shares are up 4.0% at 606.5 pence. (michael.susin@wsj.com)
