AGL Energy (ASX:AGL) acquired two early-stage pumped hydro energy storage projects at Glenbawn and Glennies Creek in New South Wales from Upper Hunter Hydro Top Trust and its trustee, Upper Hunter Hydro, according to a Thursday statement by the company.
Upper Hunter Hydro is the tenderer of the two projects.
Renewable energy development company Turnbull Renewables will continue to support the project's development, the company said.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
