US federal regulators recommend Venture Global's CP2 get greenlight to proceed

HOUSTON, May 9 (Reuters) - U.S. federal regulators, in a final environmental report, recommend Venture Global LNG's CP 2 export project in Louisiana get the go-ahead, according to a document.

Venture Global initially had approval to construct the 28 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) plant but was forced to conduct an additional environmental review of air quality impact, following a court ruling.

The study is now complete and it has concluded that the project should be allowed to continue, the FERC document shows.
