Macquarie Group's (ASX:MQG) asset management arm agreed to acquire an additional 50% stake in TDC Group from its consortium partners, enabling it to manage 100% of the capital in the telecommunications company, according to a May 9 statement.

Macquarie Asset Management is acquiring the company from Danish pension companies PFA, PKA, and ATP.

In 2018, Macquarie and the said three consortium partners delisted TDC Group from Denmark's stock exchange to create two independent businesses with standalone expertise in digital infrastructure and customer service delivery, the statement said.

The acquisition is expected to reach a financial close by the end of this year, subject to certain conditions.
