Health-care companies fell as traders rotated into cyclical sectors.

Kenvue, the Johnson & Johnson spinoff that makes Tylenol and Benadryl, logged earnings growth ahead of expectations, and named Kellanova Chief Financial Officer Amit Banati as its financial chief.

Shares of troubled Covid-19 vaccine developer Novavax rose sharply after it logged a significant profit, boosted by payments related to the termination of two purchase contracts.
