CHN Energy Changyuan Electric Power's (SHE:000966) electricity in April rose 18% year on year to 2.78 billion kilowatt hours, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange disclosure on Saturday.
The rise in electricity is attributed to the 24% climb in thermal power generation and 29% increase in new energy generation. Hydropower generation, however, dropped 52% from the previous year.
For the first four months of the year, the Chinese power company's electricity fell 5.9% to 11.2 billion kWh in the previous year, the disclosure said.
