Consumer stocks were steady premarket Thursday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) was inactive and Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) was up 0.9%.
Shopify (SHOP) shares were down more than 6% after the company reported a wider Q1 net loss.
