Elixir Energy (ASX:EXR) said it will write off the AU$34 million carrying value of its Mongolian gas assets by June 30, as it pivots its strategic focus to the Taroom Trough project in Queensland, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company said the farminee, private UK company Gobi Terra, has requested, and been granted, a one-year option to acquire Elixir's remaining interests in the Mongolian assets for $10 million.
