Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Tuesday

Financial stocks leaned lower premarket Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently declining by 0.8%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 2.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 2.5% higher.

Global Payments (GPN) shares were up over 2% after the company reported Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue above expectations.

Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) shares fell past 2% after the company reported higher Q1 distributable earnings and revenue that still missed analysts' expectations.

Paymentus (PAY) shares declined by over 1% even after the company reported higher Q1 non-GAAP net income and revenue.
