Zeekr's Delisting Could Raise Concerns About Geely's Governance, Capital Strategy -- Market Talk

0924 GMT - A privatization of Zeekr could pose challenges and raise concerns about Geely's governance and capital strategy, Rosalie Chen, analyst at Third Bridge, writes in an email. Zeekr's planned delisting fits with Geely's aim to consolidate, targeting resource reallocation and brand focus, Chen adds. It plans to improve overall efficiency and enhance the group's competitiveness in a smart-EV market, Chen says. The proposed move could streamline decision-making, strengthen brand positioning, and lay the groundwork for deeper integration of vehicle platforms, technologies and supply chains, Chen says. That said, privatization also comes with considerable challenges, Third Bridge says. (jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
