Synaptics, Murata to Develop Wireless Connectivity Module for Automotive Suppliers

Synaptics (SYNA) and Murata Manufacturing said Thursday they are forming a partnership to develop a turnkey wireless connectivity module for automotive tier 1 suppliers and original equipment manufacturers.

The partnership aims to design Synaptics' Veros Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo systems on chips into a module co-developed with Murata, the companies said.

Synaptics shares were up 3.8% in recent premarket activity.
