SK Telecom (KRX:017670) said it is preparing for the worst-case scenario in which all 25 million customers' universal subscriber identity module (USIM) data was compromised in an April 18 cyberattack, Yonhap News reported Wednesday, citing CEO Ryu Young-sang during a parliamentary session.

Calling it possibly South Korea's worst-ever telecom hack, Ryu admitted to delayed reporting and procedural lapses, as the breach was reported to authorities two days after discovery, according to the report.
