1758 ET - Meta says its user experience in Europe could get significantly worse after a European regulator required modifications to its ad-free subscription model. The European Commission recently ruled that the social media giant's subscription for its ad-free model was not compliant with the Digital Markets Act, Meta said in its 1Q earnings release. The company said the required alterations could have a significant impact to its European business and revenue as soon as 3Q. Meta said it will appeal the EC's decision, but modifications to the model could be imposed before or during the appeal process. Shares rise 3.8% after hours. (roshan.fernandez@wsj.com)
