Crown Holdings Guides for Strong Summer Season -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
30 Apr

1353 ET - Orders for cans and containers haven't slowed despite the implementation of new tariffs on imports of aluminum and steel, Crown Holdings CEO Tim Donahue says on a call with analysts. The company expects a strong summer season, marked by tight supply across both Europe and North America. However, the same sentiment doesn't apply to South America and Southeast Asia, both of which Donahue says are regions likely to be more sensitive to current global trade tensions. "There are some reasons to be cautious with tariffs, but it feels like it's going to be a strong season," he says. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
