Advisory fees in the Investment Banking & Equities segment rose by 30%, from $429.8 million to $557.3 million. Commissions and related revenue increased by 14%, from $48.2 million to $55.1 million. However, underwriting fees slightly declined by 2% to $54.3 million. In the Investment Management segment, asset management and administration fees grew by 12%, totaling $21.0 million, whereas other revenue experienced a significant decrease of 75%, falling to $7.1 million. The company's provision for income taxes reflected an additional tax benefit of $74.3 million, compared to $29.5 million in the previous year, influenced by the appreciation in share price upon the vesting of employee share-based awards.
