Kadant (KAI) reported late Tuesday fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings of $2.10 per diluted share, down from $2.38 per share a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 29 was $239.2 million, down from $249 million a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $244.6 million.
The company expects fiscal Q2 adjusted EPS of $1.90 to $2 on revenue of $243 million to $250 million. Analysts polled by FactSet are expecting $2.61 and $266.1 million, respectively.
The company now expects fiscal 2025 adjusted EPS of $9.05 to $9.25 on revenue of $1.02 billion to $1.04 billion. It previously projected adjusted EPS of $9.70 to $10.05 and revenue of $1.04 billion to $1.07 billion.
Analysts polled by FactSet are looking for $9.94 and $1.05 billion, respectively.
Kadant shares were down 2.2% in recent premarket activity Wednesday.
