1203 GMT - Uncertainty about tariffs is creating additional work for WPP's public-relations agencies, CEO Mark Read says. "In many of our public relations businesses, we're spending a lot of time with our clients navigating a lot of the communication challenges around this," Read says in an interview. However, the owner of agencies like Burson and Ogilvy is vulnerable to how the economy fares, like any other company, he says. In the first quarter, the U.K. group's public relations segment reported a 6.6% decline in like-for-like revenue less pass-through costs. Like-for-like revenue less pass-through costs fell 2.8% at WPP's global integrated agencies and rose 1.2% at its specialist agencies. Shares fall 0.5%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
