Market Chatter: Boeing Obtains Nuts, Bolts Supplies for 737 Max Production

Boeing (BA) has obtained new supplies of specialized nuts and bolts for its 737 Max jets, averting a production slowdown after a fire at a key supplier's factory, Reuters reported Monday, citing two industry sources.

The plane maker was running out of specific fasteners used for the 737 Max jets' landing gear because of the fire in February, but secured new supplies in recent weeks at higher prices, the report said, citing one of the sources.

"We don't expect a near-term impact to commercial production," a Boeing spokesperson told Reuters.

Boeing did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
