April 23 - (The Insurer) - Arthur J Gallagher Dubai's marine divisional director Bård Poulsson has resigned to take up a position at Lockton, three senior marine market sources told The Insurer.
Two senior marine market sources said that Poulsson resigned from Gallagher in the first quarter and will return to his home country of Norway for his Lockton role. This publication could not confirm exactly when he will start this position.
Poulsson will join Lockton after a decade-long stint as divisional director of Gallagher's marine unit in Dubai. This followed four years as Middle East marine regional practice leader at Willis and 15 years at Marsh.
Lockton Norway recently appointed Øyvind Larsen as CEO following the exit of Anders Johannessen to become Willis' European head of marine.
Gallagher confirmed Poulsson's exit. Lockton and Poulsson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
