BAE Systems' Ammunition Boost Could Lift Sales by 3% in 2025-26 -- Market Talk

0807 GMT - BAE Systems' decision to increase its U.K. production of 155 millimeter ammunition by 16 times could generate additional sales worth between 800 million and 1 billion pounds, or about 3% of sales, over 2025 and 2026, Citi analyst Charles Armitage says. The British arms maker should reach that capacity this summer, he notes. Part of the boost is likely to have already been accounted in the company's current guidance, Armitage says. This case is illustrative of the type of increase that will drive high single digit growth for the next decade, he adds. Shares are up 1% at 17.33 pounds. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
