Motorola Solutions (MSI) said Monday it introduced a new device called the SVX that merges a speaker mic, body camera, and AI assistant to help emergency personnel respond faster.
The SVX, compatible with the company's APX NEXT radios, allows for real-time communication and analytics in the field, the company said.
The onboard assistant, called Assist, can read and process information such as license plates and IDs, aiming to reduce manual data entry for officers, Motorola said.
The company added the tool builds on its footprint in the US public safety market, where its systems handle over half of all 911 calls.
Shares of the company were down 2% in recent Monday premarket activity.
