Naver (KRX:035420) signed a licensing agreement with Universal Music Group, granting the former's short-form video platform Clip creators access to over 2.1 million global tracks, including hits by The Beatles and Taylor Swift, The Korea Herald reported Friday.
The move supports Clip's "Today's Clip" challenge, which has driven a 35% rise in user-generated content, especially among younger users, the report said.
Naver also enhanced its video editor with easier music integration and new track recommendations. The deal follows Naver's recent expansion of K-pop, indie, and jazz music offerings, the report said.
