Woodside Energy (ASXWDS) signed a liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with Germany-based energy company Uniper, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The deal includes 1 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of LNG from the proposed Louisiana project for up to 13 years, along with 1 Mtpa from Woodside Energy Trading Singapore, starting from the project's commercial operations date and continuing until 2039, the filing said.
The agreements are contingent on a final investment decision for the proposed 16.5 Mtpa, three-train development at the project, the filing added.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company's shares were up over 2% in recent Thursday trade.
