Ameresco (AMRC) and Sunel Group's joint venture Ameresco Sunel Energy said late Thursday that it has won a 303.4 million euros ($345 million) engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for three solar farms in southwestern Romania.
The projects producing 466 megawatt-peak will replace coal power generation, and will feature over 757,000 fixed-tilt solar panels. Ameresco Sunel Energy will handle design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.
The projects are expected to be completed within 18 months, the JV said.
