Lululemon May Have To Cut Estimates on Competitive Threat, Jefferies Says -- Market Talk

1347 ET - Lululemon is having difficulty selling beyond its core yoga categories, Jefferies analysts say in a research note after visiting New York's Woodbury Commons Outlets. The analysts also call the amount of leggings on sale "disturbing." If Lululemon starts to lose in the leggings category to others like Alo Yoga, then the whole profit engine will likely fall apart, Jefferies says. "What happens next...it's not pretty. We see subdued 1Q trends and believe that Lululemon will have to lower estimates," the analysts say, adding that they don't think tariffs are Lululemon's issue, "it's competition."
