Olin's (OLN) and Plug Power's (PLUG) joint venture Hidrogenii commissioned its hydrogen liquefaction plant in St. Gabriel, Louisiana.
The facility, which has a capacity of up to 15 tons per day, will liquefy hydrogen produced by Olin for trailer shipments across the US and serve Plug's material-handling customers, the two companies said in a joint statement Thursday.
The Louisiana plant adds to Plug's facilities in Woodbine, Georgia and Charleston, Tennessee, and brings the company's total production capacity to 40 tons per day, according to the statement.
