0449 GMT - Singapore's non-oil domestic exports are likely to contract in 2025, Jester Koh of UOB Global Economics & Markets Research says in a report. Non-oil domestic exports could post intermittent back-to-back seasonally adjusted sequential contractions, the associate economist says. "Risks [are] tilted to the downside given the latest round of tariff escalations surpassed the previous episode in speed, breadth and intensity," Koh says. This is "barring any subsequent de-escalations that could arise from the ongoing negotiations ahead of the looming expiry date on the 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs," he adds. UOB cuts its NODX forecast for the year, projecting a 4.0% contraction versus the 1.5% growth expected previously. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
