WA1 Resources (ASX:WA1) said that resource definition drilling at its West Arunta rare earth elements-lithium project in Western Australia continued to define a high-grade zone of mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company reported assay results related to 17 diamond drill holes, 26 reverse circulation drill holes, and four sonic drill holes completed in 2024 at the Luni deposit, the filing said. This included "significant" intercepts of 19.3 meters at 3.4% grade of niobium pentoxide from 36 meters, as well as 17 meters at 2% grade of niobium pentoxide from 34 meters.

Further assay results are expected in the coming month to support an updated mineral resource estimate later during the June quarter, per the filing. Drilling is continuing at the project.
