By Rebecca Delaney

April 17 - (The Insurer) - Specialty MGA Rokstone has named Giles Hussey as CEO of its Dubai International Financial Centre operations, the company said on Thursday.

The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Hussey will join Rokstone following his notice period at Guy Carpenter, where he most recent served as managing director and head of facultative IMEA for four years.

Prior to this, he founded Dubai-based specialty MGA Malakite. Other previous roles include head of MENA at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, and CEO for Middle East and Asia and group head of business development at Lancashire Insurance Group.

Rokstone DIFC is authorised and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), having received regulatory approval in August last year.

The Aventum Group-owned MGA also received a licence from the DFSA to establish the new office in DIFC in November.

Rokstone DIFC offers a range of specialty risk solutions, including direct and facultative property, construction, aviation, marine cargo and energy.
