Proassurance$(PRA)$ Magnetar Financial disclosed a new position in the property and casualty insurer of 3,013,195 shares. Magnetar Financial purchased 3,029,728 Proassurance shares from Feb. 27 through April 7, 2025, at per share prices ranging from $15.53 to $23.35, then offset those purchases through the sale of 16,528 shares at $14.78 to $23.15. Magnetar is probably making an arbitrage play. On March 19, Proassurance announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by The Doctors Co. for $25 per share in cash, valuing the deal at $1.3 billion.

Following the purchases, Magnetar owns an initial 5.9% stake of Proassurance's outstanding stock.

Increases in Holdings

Rapid7 $(RPD)$ JANA Partners raised its stake in the cybersecurity company to 4,939,840 shares. JANA Partners did so through the purchase of 1,072,377 Rapid7 shares from March 25 through April 10, 2025, at per share prices ranging from $22.26 to $29.44. Following the latest purchases, JANA Partners owns 7.7% of Rapid7's outstanding stock. Shares of Rapid7 have lost approximately 41.2% of their value since the beginning of this year.

Orthofix Medical $(OFIX)$ Juniper Investment raised its stake in the medical device firm to 2,386,500 shares. Juniper Investment did so through the purchase of 431,251 Orthofix Medical shares from March 3 through April 9, 2025, at per share prices ranging from $13.80 to $16.99. Following the latest purchases, Juniper Investment continues to own 6.1% of Orthofix Medical's outstanding stock. Shares of Orthofix Medical have lost roughly 22.9% of their value since the beginning of this year.

Decreases in Holdings

Six Flags Entertainment$(FUN)$ H Partners Management lowered its stake in the amusement-park operator to five million shares. H Partners Management did so through the sale of 661,999 Six Flags shares from March 6 through April 11, 2025, at per share prices ranging from $28.17 to $39.05. Following the latest sales, H Partners Management continues to own 4.98% of Six Flags Entertainment's outstanding stock, placing it below the 5% threshold that would require it to report further Six Flags purchases or sales. Shares of Six Flags Entertainment have lost nearly a third of their value since the beginning of this year.

Alphatec Holdings$(ATEC)$ L-5 Healthcare Partners reduced its stake in the medical technology company to 7,699,315 shares. L-5 Healthcare did so through the sale of 1,465,383 Alphatec Holdings shares from Feb. 10 through April 11, 2025, at per share prices ranging from $9.25 to $11.48. Following the latest sales, L-5 Healthcare Partners continues to own 5.3% of Alphatec Holdings' outstanding stock. Shares of Alphatec Holdings have gained roughly 11.6% in value since the beginning of this year.
