Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR) started a AU$10.4 million drilling program at its Gilmour project in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The 30,800-meter campaign includes both infill and extensional drilling and will assess the underground potential of the project, the filing said.
Insufficient exploration to date makes it uncertain if further drilling will define a mineral resource, the filing added.
The program is expected to be completed by the September quarter, the company said.
Shares of the company rose 3% in recent Wednesday trade.
