Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) said late Monday it is bringing up and validating its 5th Gen AMD EPYC CPU products at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing's (TSM) new fabrication facility in Arizona, underscoring the company's commitment to US production.
AMD also said its AMD EPYC processor became the first HPC product in the industry to be taped out and brought up on the Taiwan Semiconductor advanced 2nm process technology. The product is on track to launch in 2026, the company said.
