Oxford Economics Cuts U.K. 2026 Growth Forecast to 0.9% Due to Tariff Impact -- Market Talk

1416 GMT - Oxford Economics cuts its U.K. growth forecast for 2026 to 0.9%, from its previous forecast of 1.5%, due to the impact of U.S. trade tariffs, it says in a note.The global economic advisory firm expects U.K. GDP to grow by 1% in 2025. "We now expect softer quarterly growth for the remainder of this year and 2026, although the U.K. should manage to avoid a recession," Oxford Economics' Andrew Goodwin says in a note.
