Victory Metals (ASX:VTM) said its North Stanmore project in Western Australia stands to benefit from a US executive order launching a section 232 investigation into the national security risks of reliance on imported critical minerals, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The project has recovered key minerals targeted in the US investigation, including dysprosium, terbium, and yttrium, the filing said.

The company expects the investigation to boost commercial interest and provide access to international funding opportunities, the filing added.

Shares of the company rose 2% in recent Wednesday trade.
