Strickland Metals (ASX:STK) said a sixth diamond rig started drilling at its Rogozna project in Serbia to extend and infill the Gradina deposit, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Previous drilling at the deposit revealed multiple high-grade gold lodes with over 1,000 meters of strike and 900 meters of vertical extent, the filing said.

The campaign will cover over 20,000 meters of diamond drilling to extend mineralization up-dip towards the surface and demonstrate high-grade gold lode continuity, aiming to support a maiden mineral resource estimate later this year, per the filing.

Shares rose 3% in morning trade Tuesday.
