Wilmar International (SGX:F34) has issued a statement addressing recent media reports concerning the arrest of Indonesian judges involved in a 2022 bribery case where the company was implicated.
Indonesian authorities have reportedly apprehended judges who were part of the panel that acquitted Wilmar International, along with Musim Mas group and Permata Hijau group, on charges of misconduct related to the acquisition of palm oil export permits in 2022.
Wilmar International said it is aware of the developments but reiterated its stance on the original charges, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.
