Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) said the Salusa prospect at the New England granite target area, part of the broader Ironstone Well-Barwidgee gold project in Western Australia, was defined after several intercepts from reverse circulation drilling demonstrated continuous mineralization, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The results received for 23 reverse circulation drill holes from the 6,100-meter exploration campaign include intercepts of 2 meters at 9.4 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 33 meters and 14 meters at 0.8 g/t grade of gold from 82 meters.

The firm plans to conduct aircore drilling across the Caladan target area in May, following the completion of heritage surveys.

The firm's board said it completed a strategic review of the Gordons gold project and the Mt. McClure gold project, and it is actively considering options for these non-core assets after the firm was approached by several parties.
