Allison Transmission appointed Scott Mell as its chief financial officer and treasurer.

The maker of vehicle propulsion systems on Thursday said Mell will join the company, effective April 14, from TriMas Corporation, where he held the top finance role.

Mell will succeed Fred Bohley, who has served as CFO and treasurer since last June in addition to his role as chief operating officer, a position he will retain the company said.

Mell will receive an annual base salary of $575,000 and a target annual bonus equal to 100% of his annual base salary, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He will also receive a target annual long-term incentive plan equal to 200% of his annual base salary and a one-time $200,000 cash bonus.
