Trina Solar (SHA:688599) agreed to obtain exclusive rights for UK solar technology company Oxford Photovoltaics' perovskite solar cell technology, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
The Chinese solar power company is allowed to research, manufacture and sell Oxford PV's products in the mainland, including the perovskite/perovskite tandem and perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem cell technologies.
Trina Solar was also granted the exclusive right to sublicense the technology to local manufacturers, the filing said.
