U.S. Credit Spreads Likely to Widen Further as U.S. Growth Outlook Deteriorates -- Market Talk

1431 GMT - U.S. credit spreads are expected to widen further as investors adjust their outlook on U.S. growth due to the worsening U.S.-China trade dispute, HSBC credit strategist Song Jin Lee says in a note. "The latest tariff announcements are likely to prove detrimental to growth expectations for the U.S. and its trading partners alike," Lee says. HSBC has a neutral recommendation on U.S. investment-grade credit and a mildly bearish recommendation on U.S. high-yield credit. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
