April 9 - (The Insurer) - Commercial insurtech Pie has promoted senior vice president of underwriting and pricing Rick Poulin to chief underwriting officer.
In his new role, Poulin will also oversee premium audit and customer service, focusing on small businesses as per Pie's strategy.
Poulin joined Pie in 2022, and has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
Before Pie, he spent more than 10 years at Travelers. He has also held roles at QBE, National Farmers Union Insurance Company, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, and Marsh Management Services.
In February, Dax Craig, co-founder and president of Pie Insurance announced that he would be leaving his role as president at the company in 2025.
