Westpac to Open Three New Banking Service Centers in Regional Australia

Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) will open three new banking service centers in New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania as part of its investment in regional Australia, according to a Thursday statement.

The service centers are in Moree in New South Wales, which will open later this year; and Leongatha in Victoria and Smithton in Tasmania, which will both open in early 2026, the statement said.

Services include face-to-face support for retail and business customers, as well as digital banking assistance and access to cash, per the statement.

Westpac said work is underway to roll out its services to additional regional locations.

The bank plans to add 150 new business bankers across its regional network over the next three years, according to the statement.

Westpac's shares were up over 1% in New Zealand.
