1850 ET [Dow Jones]--Target has a particularly risky profile among TD Cowen's retail stocks, but could be a good opportunity depending on risk appetite on pullback, the analysts say. The big box retailer imports half of its product sales and has plenty of opportunities for execution improvements regarding volatility across categories and outside seasonal moments, lead times and forecast accuracy, as well as competitive price gaps against Walmart, Costco and BJ's Wholesale Club, the analysts add. Target has good things in its favor, too, including ecosystem factors such as convenient digital pickup options, and Roundel digital advertising network.
