Teledyne Technologies' (TDY) FLIR Defense unit said Wednesday that the US Army has awarded it a four-year, $74.2 million contract to continue developing mounted reconnaissance capability for the M1135 Stryker's nuclear, biological, and chemical reconnaissance vehicle sensor suite upgrade program.

The company delivered initial Sensor Suite upgrade prototypes for testing, which resulted in a $168 million production award in November, it said. The new contract requires FLIR Defense to develop an expanded Sensor Suite upgrade design, deliver six prototypes, and provide additional support for government testing, it added.

Work on the program is expected to continue through 2028 at the company's facilities in Oklahoma, Maryland, and Arizona, the company said.
