A lawsuit against Newsmax Media (NMAX) for defaming electronic voting hardware and software provider Dominion Voting Systems on 2020 US presidential election rigging will move forward, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a order by a Delaware Superior Court judge.

Judge Eric Davis said Newsmax defamed Dominion with false reporting about election rigging. A jury will decide Dominion Voting's claim of $1.6 billion in damages during a trial scheduled to start April 28, Reuters reported.

Newsmax Media didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
