Santos (ASX:STO) said its Barossa liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in the Timor Sea is 95.2% complete as of the end of March and is on track to produce its first gas by the third quarter of this year, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company added that the pipelines connecting the Barossa field to the Darwin LNG plant are complete. The second installation for the subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines is expected to be finished "within days."
Santos' shares were up 6% in recent trade.
