V2X (VVX) said Wednesday it was awarded a $62 million contract to continue work on the COBRA DANE radar system in Alaska through an estimated completion in March 2027.

The company said it will provide engineering upgrades and maintain operational readiness of the long-range system, which is used by the US Space Force.

The radar plays a key role in tracking ballistic threats and monitoring satellites and orbital debris for space domain awareness, V2X said.

The radar can observe objects as far as 2,000 miles and supports both missile detection and space surveillance, the company added.

Shares of the company were up over 3% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
