Greenvale Energy (ASX:GRV) completed a Liquefaction Test Program 6 at its Alpha Torbanite Project in Queensland, to generate a high-yielding, commercial-grade bitumen material, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program, conducted by the University of Jordan, tested blended samples from the company's Alpha deposit which were subjected to a series of experiments, the filing said.
The tests showed lower viscosity and higher product yield under optimal conditions, the filing added.
The company plans to begin Test Program 7, in collaboration with Monash University, per the filing.
Shares of the company rose 7% in recent Tuesday trade.
