Amazon.com (AMZN) said Tuesday that it has released Amazon Nova Sonic, a machine learning model that aims to create more human-like voice conversations in artificial intelligence applications.
The company said Nova Sonic can be used for voice applications, such as customer service call automation, and creates a "more natural dialog." It also said it understands nuances of human conversation, such as natural pauses and hesitations and can wait to speak until the appropriate time.
Shares of Amazon were up 4.3% in recent early trading.
