Air Lease Says Q1 Aircraft Investments Totaled $800 Million

Air Lease (AL) said Tuesday that its aircraft investments in Q1 totaled about $800 million.

The aircraft leasing company said 14 new aircraft from its orderbook were delivered during the quarter, with 225 new aircraft on order from Boeing (BA) and Airbus set for delivery through 2029.

Air Lease said it sold 16 aircraft to third-party buyers in Q1, with sales proceeds totaling about $520 million.

The company also received $328.5 million in cash insurance settlement proceeds during the quarter.
